I just snatched this little Neerup bent apple up from the estate section of Smokingpipes.com for 55 bucks, I've been eyeing them for a while but they rarely come up as estates, and this was the shape/shank and stem combo that I have been waiting for. Can't wait to try it out!!

As of yet, I have no dedicated pipes for specific categories of tobacco... this one might have to be set aside strictly for English blends. We'll see!

Peter et al do a great job on apples/tomato/blowfish etc. Gave away a Neerup blowfish some time ago - kinda regret it ;-)

Spill, I remember you talking about finding a $100 blowfish, didn't know that you got rid of it! What for? Well, as they say, "there's always more fish in the sea!" Hopefully another blowfish comes your way.

My B&M guy admired it and has given me a LOT of nice pipes. So I gave it to him.

That's a noble cause; pipes can be some of the most cherished gifts. Who knows, maybe when your birthday comes around we'll all chip in and find you your blowfish!!

Neerups are great pipes. I'm sure you will enjoy yours for years. I've got an apple and a bent pot that I really like and use a lot. :toast:

Those are sweet! I agree; I have always been amazed at what he does with the finish on his pipes, the way he can make the grain stand out, and also the ornaments that can often times be found on the shank, metal extensions, acrylic bits and pieces, I think he is a true artist and the prices can't be beat. I hope that this Neerup will be the first of many; I still need a smooth one!
