Drinking and smoking are a rare combination for me (I can't smoke inside, and I'm particular about glassware!), but last week I had a pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlords (a pale bitter) and a bowl of Orlik Bullseye Flake (VaPer with a Cavendish centre, if I'm not mistaken). It was sublime. I now believe a pipe and a pint are perfect bedfellows.

It's a tie. CH with Folgers or Squadron Leader with Earl Gray.

Any tobacco with coffee, I find, is the best combo for me.

I tend to drink hot tea at night. If I really want to knock myself out I'll smoke a bowl of Nightcap with a cup of chamomile tea : ) Tonight I just finished smoking Frog Morton on the Bayou with a cup of Lady Earl Grey, it was nice. Occasionally I'll drink a bottle of cold sparkling water instead of hot tea if I want that fresh crisp cold feeling, usually with heavier blends... and as the weather is heating up and I smoke on the porch at night usually, I am drinking that more often. We are moving to Qatar in a few months, guess I'd better stock up on sparkling water lol!

I like most whisky's with a smoke, not that I get to enjoy both at the same time very often but when I do I enjoy it.

I keep thinking that CH would be good with Old Pultney because they both have a slightly salty taste to me, I haven't got around to trying that out yet but I want to while I still have some CH left.

GAF goes very well with Vodka and Coke where as I prefer Petersons Uni Flake with a nice 12 year old Glendronach. There are som many different tasting Whisky's that the combinations are almost endless however I've found that Peterson's Irish Whiskey tends not to match very well and I prefer something sweeter with it.

Weekday afterwork pipe smoking I like sweet iced tea. The weekends it's Maker's Mark Bourbon. Saturday mornings a good cup of coffee!

I get more pipe time on the weekend than during the work week, and I truly savor my Sunday morning pipe with a cup of hot, strong black coffee. It's one of lifes simple pleasures, and something to be thankful for.

Ok , Yuban coffee , mainly . Unless it's some killer fancy stuff like Kona or Sumatran . Jennifer ordered some of each from this place .. http://www.coffeeam.com/ .... it's honestly the best of each I've ever had . Sometimes other roasters roast Sumatran beans too far .. and it's lame . These guys know what they are doing and I will only order from them from here on out when I order " fancy " coffee . Other than that ... it's Yuban
