So my girl in her daily routine of hitting the flea markets and consignment shops looking for stock for our thrift store came across this at a flea market. She paid 30 bucks for it, just not sure what I have here. The old man said his grandfather bought this in Germany over a 100 years ago. It needs a new stem and some work, just not sure who to send it to and if it would be worth it...

Bummer about that shank! You have the collar though, that helps. My advice would be to contact Floyd Norwood. Send him the photos and get a quote on repairs and a new stem. Then you need to decide if it's worth the extra cash, or if you want to write it off.
Personally, I'd have it repaired. That's a sweet looking old war-horse....would likely smoke well. Looks like the previous owner loved it....maybe too much! LOL

    You can contact Floyd here:

I've used him often, and recommend him highly.

Nice looking pipe! I'd at least get an estimate on repair and then decide if it's worth it to you!

I have decided no matter the cost I am going to have it fixed. If anything, it will look great in the collection

I'd try to get it repaired. That pipe is just too cool looking to be tossed.

Threads like that are kind of sprinkled throughout the forum. Basically, if you have something you want to show off you just start a thread. However, a "Show and Tell" room would probably be a great idea.

It MUST be saved! Came from Germany over a 100 years ago...would put it before WWI...any markings? And totally agree about a "Show and Tell" would be a great idea!
