I have seen it referred to as English I assumed because of the Latakia. But, then in other post here and on some other forums it always seems to come up in VA discussions. I have 2 pipes for VA's, 2 for English and 2 for Aromatics. A few cobs for new unknown stuff.. anyway is it a English or a VA?

    Thanks

Where on earth did you see it referred to as a Virginia?

It contains virginia, yes, but given that your basic English is Virginia and Latakia, that is not really a defining feature of penzance.

It is definitely an old-boots-stinky English.

Double old-boots-stinky English. :crybaby: I smoked two bowls of some leftover aged Penzance today - the last of my last tin. It was bone dry and made stinky-huge clouds of smoke. I love that stuff but it will offend many within noseshot.

Definitely funky, but it does have a nice flavor. Glad I got a couple of tins while it was briefly available.

I'm kicking myself for missing it. Moral of the story: I need to keep an emergency TAD fund at all times.

Not Penz, but if you need a thick, oriental heavy flake to tide you over, Cooper is worth a try.

I somehow wound up with 7 tins of Penzance this week. I didn't even try it yet. I'm going to age some.

By "somehow" I meant, "I ordered".

I think they're still in stock if you want to grab some. Let me know if you can't.
