Today I stopped by my B&M to drop off a pipe to have a new stem made for it (couldn't stand the draw or the button). While waiting my turn, I perused the basket pipes and saw a square shanked billiard. Not a foursquare, just a billy with a square shank. I picked it up and examined it, but found the draft hole to be too high. As I'm putting it back, I see another and grab it. Draft hole is spot on. So I thinks to myself, there's gotta be something wrong with this pipe...maybe a stinger? Nope. Maybe it's not a smooth drilling? Nope. Nothing wrong with it whatsoever. Needless to say, I bought it. And didn't need to have a new stem made for the pipe I originally went in for, they had some old acrylic freehand stems that fit perfectly. All I have to do is unbend the stem a touch. Needless to say, today was a good day.
