Has anyone else tried this tobacco I had a bowl and my tongue went numb I know it has Virginia, Latakia, Oriental in it. What do you think made my tongue go numb.

You probably smoked it too fast (it's that delicious) and steamed your tongue....:)

    Good stuff!

There's some sort of "special spice" flavoring in that one and that may have been the culprit.

+1 for smoking it fast. I have smoked it, and it tasted like it has Deer Tongue in it.

I didn't think I was smoking it fast I took my time, however it did have something reminiscent of clove or something.

It was too sweet/odd tasting for me, but I don't remember tongue bite.

    I swear by this stuff.
Trick (at least for me) is to open up the tin and let it dry in the can for 24 hours.
Then all the flavors and come out, it's just wonderful. I'm tempted to say the drier the better, as i finished up a bone dry bowl of it from the bottom of a jar on a trip to washington once, just before seeing the national cathedral. One of the most memorable smokes i've ever had.

Too damp, and it just tastes like ashy, empty earth.

I've heard people say it's on the dry side and easy to light right out of the can, but that's never been my experience!

I love the stuff, never had a problem with the dampness myself. Just nice and sweet with a good nic and lat hit.
