    Samuel Gawith St. James Flake is also pure Virginia (and strong). It is brilliant, but smoking full "flake-pot" is too much to me. I just fell asleep.

    Yes it is good, but I'm moving away from SG blends. I have a lot in the cell..but I'm done restocking it.

    Are the MacBaren Virg....anygood. I was looking at no1 and the HH Mature

    I really like the MacB HH Mature Va.. I can smoke it at any time of the day and have no problems. IMO, it is the smoothest "no-problem" Va. on the market.
    The Va. #1 was one of the first MacB's I tried. I remember that it bit like a mad dog, but, that was more my technique than any problem with the blend. It was also the first tobacco that I kept "stashed" until it developed the sugar crystals (probably stayed in hiding until I forgot about the bite). Smoking it after aging like that was absolute Bliss.
    I keep quantities of both in my cellar now.
