Picked some of this up tonight at a Gas stations of all places. Snagged it for $4 bucks a pouch. This really is a cool decent smoke. I've never had it before but was actually pleasantly surprised how good it is. To top it off the pouch was still fresh, it wasn't dried out at all.

Any fans of this stuff out there?

It's my second favorite OTC, right after SWR. I think it tastes like dry roasted peanuts.

Granger is in my rotation. Good stuff! It's one of my OTC mainstays, alongside Sugar Barrel and SWR.

SWR Aromatic and now Granger are just about the only OTC's that I care for thus far. I absolutely hated CH, and Middleton's Cherry was one of the worst blends I have ever had. Still lots to try out there....

I find it a little rough compared to CH. Haven't had a tub, just the pouch.

The good reviews on TR are so enticing, and the bad reviews are so revolting that I've never actually ordered any. Might have to give it a whirl. Hell, all the other tobaccos with dogs on the can are good, so this one must be too.

been a long long time since i tried Granger--it wasn't a bad blend as i remember, but i recall it did have a bit of a sour pouch note-please remember, this was well over 50 years ago--things have likely changed--who knows, maybe for the better??--next time i see a pouch i'll have to check it out again--

i recall many of the ""old guys"" back in the '50s used Granger as a base for their personal mixes--another they used in this manner was George Washington-- haven't seen george in a while--

I like the stuff, but it's a different breed of OTC burley. First, it's more full bodied than PA or CH or Half and Half, and slightly more full bodied than SWR. It's considerably more nutty in taste than the others I've tried. And while PA, CH, and HH are all pretty forgiving of cadence, packing, etc., Granger demands that you smoke slowly and carefully.

If treated like a pipe tobacco should be treated, it will reward you with a high quality, tasty smoke. Nutty burley flavor with faint hints of anise if my impressions are anywhere close to correct. One of my favorite burleys
