    Hello everyone.
    My first real post here.

I've been a pipe smoker for a while now, but still searching for my blend.
    I've eliminated ANYTHING with Latakia.
    Just not for me.
I can tolerate Orientals as long as they are in the minimal.
I tend to lean towards VA/PER's but as of late I'm finding some ( Escudo Navy Deluxe) to be too "bright" and "lemony" and not enough Dark tones or spice.
Recently I've taken on G.L Pease Fillmore and i've found it to be "darker" and more spice dominant.
Does anyone have any other recommendations for a VA/PER's that stays dark, complex and spicey?
I'm looking into G.L Pease Triplr Play or Jack knife Plug.

    Thoughts?

GLP JKP is a good choice, but I'd also recommend PS Luxury Navy Flake, C&D Red Carpet, SG Full Virginia Flake, and Rattray's Hal o' the Wynd as well. The C&D Red Carpet is a VA/Per with red Virginia's , Perique, and a touch of Izmir oriental, and is very good. I hope this helps.

I should also add no aromatics.

I was going to recommend that as well since it's one of my all time favs, but it's so hard to find now it seems. :(

    Mac Baren Club Blend
    Robert McConnel Scottish Cake
    Peter Heinrich's Curly Cut

These are all dark and spicy to varying degrees. Club is probably the sweetest, Curly the strongest for nicotine.

Now, there's a surprise. Sasquatch recommending Club Blend?

You must get a royalty every time you do that, Sas. Makin' a killin'.

Fillmore, I would suggest some McClelland St. James Woods for a dark-ish virginia/perique. For a dark, straight virginia, try some Astley's #44, and for just plain dark, some Peter Heinrichs Dark Strong Flake.

Edited to ask where you are in Ontario.

I'd recommend Stonehaven but would hate to have someone else to compete with when it's available. McClelland 2015 is a decent VaPer that I seem to smoke nothing else of when I have it, until it's all gone. I've recently discovered a VaPer from 4Noggins called Prairie Wind - I absolutely love it and plan on buying a pound in the very near future.

If you "lean" to VaPer's, my fav lately is GLP Telegraph Hill. Sweet, spicey and very rich! Worth a look-see.

Help you find your blend? I haven't even found mine! I have a bunch i like alot but tastes change from day to day or so. Looks like you've narrowed things a bit down to complex or darker vapers.....but tastes do change!

Good luck in your endeavors finding your blend.

For a VaPer, GLP's Telegraph Hill. It's mellower than Fillmore but still spicy and robust. If you like the flavor but want to tone everything down a bit, try GLP's Stratford.

I'll second Sasquatch's recommendation for Scottish Cake (Club Blend is pretty darn good too!). Scottish Cake is fast becoming a go-to for me.

I tried this for the first time yesterday. Really good stuff, but if you haven't been warned about the essence of soap, it might take you off guard. I expected it, so I didn't focus on that. Quality leaf and full of flavor.

I would go with GLP Triple Play for Dark and spicey. You could always get some blending perique to add to a blend if you like it but it needs a little kick.
