I have only had this pipe for 1.5 years and I am amazed at how well it is coloring. It was totally white when I started, and I had no idea about meerschaum pipe coloring until after I noticed it changing colors. I have not tried to color it, I just smoke it for a few weeks then is sits for months before I smoke it again. Not because of any method, I just get interested in smoking other pipes and kinda forget about it for a while. It colors so easily that I can usually see changes after just smoking for a day or two. I keep all cake out of it and keep the bowl as clean as possible. I also smoke it constantly without letting it rest, other than overnight. I just load it back up when the bowl is done, and light it up.

That is beautiful! I love the way my IMP's smoke! Apparently mine need more attention!

That is a very nice Meer! Would that be in the Freehand style? I just love the color on it! Beale.

Put some fruit and a cup or two in that photo and you could have a Cezanne-type painting... like "Pipe and Fruit on a Drumhead" or something like that. :D

Nice pipe. I love my IMP's as well.

Very nice pipe. I have an affinity for pipes with the craggy top bowl like that one.

Very nice meer, never had an IMP, but I wouldn't mind acquiring one someday.

I don't know about if it is a Freehand style or not. It always smokes well and is very comfortable clenched. All my other pipes can have times where they don't smoke quite as good as I would like, but this one always provides a good session.
Thanks for all the reply's. :)

That coloring may not be even, but it's neat! It'll look AWESOME when it colors completely as it seems to have near the ring where the shank meets the bit. I really like this shape for a meer!
