    There are roughly 525 pipes there, + plenty of them out of sight. The lesson I am going to learn from this Dr. is to stop at 500.

    Lotta stuff for sure . This thread reminds me of my Mortality . One day , all of us are gonna have either a picture of our dusty stuff after we're gone [ for sale ] ..or hopefully are kids will get them and smoke them

    That is always a possibility, and I don't really care, but one of my wife's kids is a teenage computer geek who can set up a site and get maybe $30,000+ for my pipes. They won't turn that down. That will pay for a year at a top college or 3 years at a bad one.

    The kids will be out of town and the wife will say its all junk, and sell the whole batch for 2-500, which is probably what happened in NJ
    We all hope that is never the case, but it happens way too many times not to be more accurate

    Best would be to catalog and price it all, then update it as we go, at least there is some record of values and rarity, instead of dad's dusty old pipes:)

    I think I see the ghost of Christmas future, if I live another 40 years and buy a pipe a month on average that is.
