While I have no experience with any of those (closest would be McC Navy Cavendish), many of those blends sound quite delicious. I hope you'll be able to share your thoughts on them with us and congratulations on the good fortune acquiring this haul!

That's a very nice haul, Dondi! I've only tried two or three blends on that list, but I'd love to try most of the others! Cornell & Diehl always keeps you on your toes by coming out with more and more in the way of selection. I can't keep up! :)

Great order Dondi....should hold you for a week or two......LOL

    I've smoked:
    McClelland British Woods
    GLP Charing Cross
    GLP Caravan
    GLP Maltese Falcon
    C&D Sunset Harbor Flake
C&D Star of the East Flake

All are great tobaccos, especially those from Greg.....

If you're into tinkering with different blends, those Blenders are gonna make your day. McC's has some excellent blending tobaccos....you might also look into their 5100 Red Cake as a Va/blender....I love the stuff.

Just one word of warning, Dondi, a little goes a long way with those McC blenders. More than once I've thrown what I thought was just a pinch of Latakia into a tin, only to be overwhelmed.

Nice bunch of tobacco though. If you find the British Woods a little too tame that will be a good place for some of that Lat.

Hey Ruffin! I emailed IRC immediately after your post and asked them to throw in a sample pouch of buttered rum and 3-star Royale... and they DID! Great customer service https://pipesmokersforum.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/thumbsu.gif

It would seem as though they'd do it if at all possible. I mean it's good for them if only looking at it from the bottom line sense not to mention word of mouth customer service kudos.

Great haul BTW. Hope you enjoy each and every one!
    :)
