I haven't tried either the one or the other, but I was told it's not only very similar to Stonehaven - but the exact same tobacco.

I heard the same... the same news as PipeSimmo and the same tobaccos. Can't say for sure as I've never smoked the RDF.

I've had both, and can't tell any difference (Greens have it loose from the jar (or bulk - if you prefer the term!)) I go along with info from several sources - that it's just given a different name for some reason - when shipped to the colonies ;). If you like St. Bruno, Condor etc. - give it a whirl.....you may have another 'momentous discovery' :ohyh:

I've had both and if they're not the same, then I'm a haggis.

Different creatures, Krumble Kake is only stateside as well, and a different beast from Penzance. Or so I've heard.

I was reading another forum and someone suggested Krumble Kake and Pirate Kake. Pirate Kake makes sense, never tried it but the name...

    EDIT: As a Penzance substitute.

I recently had both side by side and smoked one bowl from one brand and another from the other brand. I could detect no difference at all except that the RDF was a bit more dry than the Stonehaven, however, that can happen due to packaging/shipping/aging. Other than that they seemed identical.
