Hi Guys,

You're going through the normal process of breaking in a Falcon - nothing to to worry about so far; note that smooth open draw - the minute you lose some of that ream round the smokehole! No you don't need to worry about protecting a Falcon when tou smoke it in the wind - I have climed every "Monroe" in Scotland and celebrated the climb with a smoke of my Falcon usually loaded with Condor - these are no fragile things!!!

The doyen of British Fellwalkers A. Wainwiright would smoke no other pipe - and he burned only 3 Nuns in his on top of every Lakeland Fell.

Just smoke the thing, treat it as rough as you like and all will be well,
