PAD and TAD are going to have to be kept at bay... Beginning to interfere with Bourbon Acquisition Disorder
Good Choice!on the Basil that is
14oz of Carter Hall
2x100g tins of Blackwoods Flake
2oz of McC 5110 Dark Full English (I have high hopes for this one)
Well since rearranging my collection and segregating the Dunhill Shell with the bamboo shank with the other bamboo shanks a void crept into the Dunhill Group which was a sad thing to see as it was so complete. Now mind you trying to make an adjustment for a missing member of the team is difficult, I got them all together and told them "chin up mates, it will all work out, I've three candidates I'd researching their background on and will be making my choice soon". As one would expect from such a dutiful crew there was no rumbling, nor stirring in the ranks and as promised I worked diligently to choose the proper candidate and am awaiting the response from the B&M the unit where it is currently attached. Should things move forward in the positive the newest member of the group will be the youngest but it comes with good lineage and is well seasoned, a 1985 Cutty from the Dunhill Camp.
That is a beautiful Dunhill Cutty Fish, best wishes on sealing the deal!
I added another GBD 9438 to the rack, in New Standard finish. I already had a New Standard 9438, but this one is completely different in finish and stem details.
GBD's are great smokers, still grab my Prehistoric every week partly for nostalgia since it is one of my oldest and just because it smokes so well, enjoy yours.
3 Noggins in a Peterson Killarney 65, so sweet after a spaced out 24 hour shift.
Doh! Wrong thread! What a chump!!
4Noggins has Wessex Brigade Dark Flake now. I just got 10 tins. Better hurry if you want it. I got 4 tins of Old Dark Fired, too.
PS Called back and got a couple tins of Astley's 44.
so what you're saying is...I need to get a GBD?
Damn, this list is getting long.
SWEET cutty by the way
mmmmmm, I quit drinking some time ago, but I did like that Basil Hayden, you have good taste. I hope you take better care of your liver than I did.
By anyone's standards, I could almost be considered a non drinker from what I consume on a monthly, or yearly basis, but I did enjoy Basils.
Most of my hooch sits in a cabinet, no chance of liver issues for me, unless unrelated.
Sorry to hear of your problem
No problem, I quit before I hurt myself, that's one reason I smoke in moderation, I'd really like to enjoy my pipes for the rest of my days here, but I'll quit that too if I can't keep a handle on it!
Back on topic, my latest pipe purchases were another MM Cob, and a pouch of CH to try out, love 'em both!
Thanks, GBD's are a really good value mine is nearly 30 y/o and I think I paid $55 for it, I'm sure one similar would be less than that as an estate at least I think so.
My first 3 oz. of SG Full Virginia Flake, and my first 1 oz. of Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake, both in bulk.
Both are excellent.
