I was feeling down so I went to the b&m to blow off some steam/spend some money. Picked up a few cigars (two Hoyo sabrosos, and a big Partagas Spanish Rosado) and a tin of Pelican. When did Germain take over production of Pelican? I thought the last tin I bought was Stokkebye.

Decided to visit the oldest Tobacconist here in Jackson while visiting the woman.

couple bits and their english/lat blend (they've been selling it for over 35 years).

I fell in love with this B&M immediately...usually I experience some hostility walking into a tobacconist being younger...these guys were a little older than me and more than helpful

I just today ordered another tin of DaVinci by Dan's Tobacco. Its a nice aromatic that I am really enjoying. Online reviews of it are definitely a love-hate relationship, but I really like it.

All at least 25 years old. Maybe closer to 30.

Just got this on ebay. I really like this shape. This will be my first Dr G and I am looking forward to cleaning it up and smoking it. A Regal Adjustomatic:

The tin states it was "specially blended for FDB Cigar OG Tobaksfabrikker Danmark". I was tempted to pick up a tin myself, but didn't feel like rolling the dice when I couldn't find any further information. I will be interested to read people's thoughts on this one...

I saw those too. I'm interested to I know you're take on them. Mine is interesting (symphony) but is vastly different from unaged symphony.

Fine looking doggie you found there.
Of course you won't really know til you get and smoke it, but it would seem that an accepted definition of a quality pipe around here is one that you like and that performs well. Price and name are secondary (-:

It's, from what limited info I can find, a mildly sweet Virginia Cavendish. I don't know when I'll open it, but I find it intriguing.

Lol, so you were the one that outbid me? The 98B is a cool looking pipe. I guess I'll have to wait a little longer for one.
