You're gonna love the Tortuga. I have the bulldog shape in the same series. Absolutely fantastic.

Oh man that is beautiful! Those Tortugas are just sexy. Love the stem and the natural stain on the bowl rim. Such a classy looking pipe. Love the shape!

I ordered a tub of Sugar Barrel last night from 4Noggins. I want to give that a try before it becomes extinct.

As with many of you I'm sure, I've had a good couple of weeks in terms of my pipe smoking. Recent acquisitions include, a Peterson 2013 Christmas pipe from my wife, several ounces of bulk day Vinci, a tin of sunset breeze, a tin of Eileen dream, and most recently a Peterson dracula 221 smooth finish. The dracula was a birthday gift from my wife. She bought me two Peterson pipes within a couple of weeks of each other. How awesome is that?!

I have a can of the 2013 Christmas cheer open. It really good but I jarred it after a bowl. I think it needs a little more age on it.

The rusticated one is a YelloBole stamped KBB Bromley Italian Briar and the other is a no name stamped Italian Briar. The lighter is a Ronson Whirlwind. My name is Chris, so the "C' is fitting. I bid on a "Junk Box" on ebay and paid less than $20 all together. Not a bad haul. There is a lot of other non pipe related crap that I won't bother taking pictures, but notable mention goes to the old stainless steel Parker Pen, antique bottle openers, and heavy duty military issue lock.

I'm not getting any younger. I can't dilly-dally around with a blend at a time. And my memory is feeble - I wouldn't remember which VaPers were my favorites from 3 months ago. I am taking notes, though, to help.

Anything I don't like right now goes in a jar to try again in a few months. And then, if I still can't decide, I'll wait until Jan 2015 and try it again, before removing it from inventory.

Though I have already ordered 5 tins of Dunhill Flake, a few good pipefuls of that was enough to know - and it was on sale, if you bought 5.

Well, my first BST came in the mail today. I'm not much of a photographer, and natural lighting was at a premium today, but I did my best. Here are some photos.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
The ring grain on this pipe is crazy! Sasquatch is the man!

Finally got my package in from the uk. A dunhill 1103 chestnut and a tin of royal yacht compliments with it. It's exactly what I wanted and is smoking like a dream.

I don't know if any American carver does a better bent billiard shape.

I thought "Smoking Is Groovy" not "Kills".
