Unfortunatly I dont own one YET.
I'd like see what other people have though.
Middle row...third from the bottom (I haven't gotten around to taking individual pictures). I got it from Robert Leslie. No idea on the original maker though. It's a good pipe and has a cavernous chamber. If you're toying with the idea of getting a freehand, but don't want to spend a bunch...check out used/estate pipes. I've got a second one on the way.
Yea I have been watching e-bay for one I both like and can afford.
Keep your eyes open here. Both of mine were bought in the forum pipe sale section. $25 for that one and $20 for the one that's inbound.
My $.02...you're rarely going to get a deal on ebay. There are too many people on there. I have done great buying from this place though. I see pipes that I could get locally for x < $10 go for $20+ on there. The same goes for
The other issue with ebay is that the pipes you get off there are going to be f-ing filthy. If you buy from a forum member, it's going to be in good condition (and not filthy). I wasted more than two hours and 30+ pipe cleaners cleaning out one pipe.
Maybe it's just me...but this one has a sort of freehand look to it (the shank).
I only have one freehand. It is a Boswell.
Another Boswell, this time a deep fluted freehand
I'm a freehand nut. I have over 50, but only a handful of pics...
Karl Erik restoration
My very first freehand purchased in 1978, and misplaced for almost 30 years
Another "Unknown" maker
