Most excellent. Post a pic in a year when she has some 'seasoning' showing.

I've seen alot of meerschaum pipes and 75% of them look to be a waste of meerschaum, yours does not.
VERY nice in deed! I think you'll have many good smokes with that one.
If nothing else it's a beauty to behold. :thumbsu:

That is an exceptionally seaworthy piece of pipage! Well found.

I've had a few Mesut meers in the past...got the last one from SMS meerschaum. They were all quality pieces, both in design and engineering. This one should be no different.

    Note:

If it's a new pipe, something you need to do before smoking it. Ream out the bowl with a damp paper towel to remove any residual meer-dust...there's usually a light film left inside. Dampen a pipe cleaner and run it through both the stem and shank...same reason.
This pipe "should" have the smaller two-piece connector. First time you dis-assemble it, turn the stem to the left...see if it unscrews from the shank. If it does, only turn it to the right to assemble and dis-assemble, while pulling on the stem, after that....PUSH/PULL STRAIGHT OUT. Unscrewing the connector from the shank will over time, wear out the carved threads in the meerschaum....not a good thing.

You may find the draw to be a bit tight. This is normal with these connectors. they "can" be opened a bit, but you stand a good chance of just wrecking the connector.
Over the years, I've learned to adjust my pack and smoking cadence to accommodate this. A bit of a pain at first, but soon it will become second nature.

After all this, I hope I haven't turned you off from these pipes....they truly are wonderful pipes. Smoke in good health!
