I just placed my order for this exact pipe. I went to the Manufacture, Beale.

I think you will really enjoy it. Don't be put off by the burning pine/corn taste the first 4-6 bowls. Be sure to smoke it to the bottom and let it dry for a few days after 4-6 bowls and the piney/corny taste should go away.

Here's a pick of my MM CG with Walker Briarworks 3" stem.

That is a sweet stem! I plan on odering a forever stem when the one that comes with it falters.

I do have a question? I have read about using filters on these pipes? If I want to try that route? What type of filter fits? Beale.

They usually come with 2-3 filters in the box if you buy them from MM. The Forever stem does not work with a filter, and I've never been a big filter fan, so they are all tossed in a drawer waiting for someone else that may want them.

Thanks! It was a funny thing? just after placing this question. Dr. Dave from http://www.walkerbriarworks.com/index.html
called me. I had left a voice mail with him. We had a very nice chat. He told me about the Forever Stem not needing a filter.

Then i come on and see BradNTX post? Spooky eh? Beale.

I'm originally from Missouri. I lived about 1 hour from the factory. They're the best. They made all of General MacArthur's corn cob pipes. You can still buy the one they made for him. MM is the best. Enjoy!!

These are great pipes. I have 2 and I use them all the time in my rotation. No filter though. It makes the tobacco taste like air.

Amazing how a $10 pipe made from a dried-out corncob can smoke better than so many other pipes that can cost hundreds of dollars, isn't it? My two favorites are the Great Dane Egg and Country Gentleman. Really it's a tie for which one I like best. Plan on getting a couple more to use as my travel pipes.
