My First Comoy

    I just picked up this Comoy today and wanted to share. Boy, she sure does smoke nice. Anyway, Happy belated Independence Day.[​IMG]

    Nice ! Looking at that pipe makes me wanna sit , lite up and watch a game or chill to some tunes . Shapes like that are so nice to hold . Bet you'll enjoy it big time :dunno:

    comoys are some great (and luckily undervalued) pipes. enjoy!

    Thank you, guys. The pic makes it look a bit big as I have absolutely no photography skills, but she really is nicely proportioned and she feels great in the hand. The shape is what drew me to her.

    Sounds like you and that lovely Comoy are an excellent fit, raff. I've considered Comoy's and that finish sure is gorgeous. Enjoy in the best of health!

    Some people may hate on the new production comoy's, but I've never had anything but cool and dry smoke out of mine and it was relatively cheap to boot.

    i've noticed that too. like, there has been a slight decline in quality post 1980 but its not exactly like they're crap pipes now. i've got pre cadogan comoys ranging from about the mid thirties right up to the switch, phenomenal pipes. i've also got various cadogan era production pipes (under more than one of their brands but including comoy) and frankly the cadogans are still better smokers than a lot of the pipes i own (and rather spiffy looking). still not something to burst a blood vessel over but people still do get that angry about it.
