Ok, so it cost a lot more than any Playskool "My first..." toys, but then these are our grown up toys of sorts, no? I went right from the European vacation to the Midwest for graduations and visiting friends/family. Well, any trip to Minneapolis requires a stop at The Golden Leaf. They had some fantastic high end Petersons on sale... but then I saw the Dunhill. It was the last one of their most recent batch and they were clearing it (IMHO) for a very fine price. So, yeah, had intended to by tobacco and some 9 mm Sav filters, but then walked out with this lovely.

I solemnly swear that I am done buying pipes for a while. No really. Except for those two I have on layaway right now.

Sure... :) Pipe looks fine. I have heard Dunhill is always a good smoker.

Nice score; hard to pass up a clearance bargain. Call it a graduation present, no matter who graduated.

Cool pipe, dude. If I ever got a dunhill it'd be something like that. I dig those distinctive fat-taper swan neck stems. Looks great, very English.

Probably the best looking Dunhill I have ever seen. Seriously.

    Take good care of it!

Smooth Dunhills have a distinct taste, which I like. It seems that they are cured in olive oil, which is probably the reason. You can't have too many Dunhills. Even if you have to sell the wife and kids to buy them.

You know I said the exact same thing the other day and damned if I didn't turn right around and buy a Savinelli Roma Dublin. I completely understand. :D

    Nice Dunny, BTW. :th1:
