This lovely pipe just showed up at the office today :D. Pics are from the Ebay listing, but I'll take some of my own this evening when I get home.

    PAD just doesn't stop!

    Love it! :th1:

Pipes are so interesting, and some people have these little fetishes about things like forward-canted bowls, square shanks, and such. Me, I'm a sucker for a beveled rim. Just offsets the pipe so nicely.

Oh the rings on that blast are singing, just singing, as they rise up the bowl like the wisps of smoke they will unfurl.

It's a long and lonely road along that beveled rim, and he who would walk there, must walk alone.

From bowl to bit, the combusted tumble through a draft crafted by man and more so a millenia of spring rains.

Love that ring grain. You always see so many dark sandblasts, so the lighter stains really stand out!

The first 1/3 bowl is now done and it was nice. The draw is good. I had the little crumblies in the bowl that come from the bottom of a tin (probably should've left them out), so I ended up getting some of that coming down the pipe, but I'll give it another round later this evening with a more even cut blend and see how that goes. Despite being quite solid, it balances nicely and the bit is really comfortable to hold and practice my breath smoking. Of course, the cold wind didn't help matters, but such is life in Canada when you have to smoke outdoors :D

GLP Triple Play Plug. I had enough left in the tin for a 1/3 bowl, so I figured it was perfect. But the crumbs probably should've gone in the garbage :D
