    That's my next task. I'm setting up a buffer and have some stems soaking now. What polish do you use for the final mirror finish?

    There were more in his collection but my two sons grabbed them. All the pipes were packed away after my dad died. This is the first time they've seen the light of day in 20 years.

    Great to see them out again, do you know what type of tobacco he smoked in them? I just buff my stems by hand with bees wax and some fine stuff from work that comes on a roll like pot scrubber for doing dishes, a buffer would be great.

    Troost was his baccy of choice, although he also had some custom stuff from the local pipe shop (long closed).

    Carnuba ... not the kind for surfboards .. lol . PIMO has good carnuba cheap enough .. and they have compounds too .
