Postman knocked this morning with a package containing a smooth hard slab of C&D 'Night Train'. This is my fourth 16oz. hunk of this blend, and although my experience of US tobaccos is relatively limited (but rapidly expanding!) - I think this one is my favourite C&D offering. Am I alone in this, it seems to get little mention or referance - is it one of the 'hidden gems' of US 'tobacciana', I think it's great stuff!.....and bargain priced.

That one must really appeal to British tastes. Dbuist is a big fan, too. I traded him a pound for some of your OTCs. The Night Train was in my possession just long enough to slip a bowl's worth and repackage it. I liked that sample enough to move it to the top of my TAD list. It's an impressive blend.

Actually, its second on the list now. I ran out of Ennerdale the other day.

I've got 4oz at home. I tried it a couple of times but it was a bit too raw and was biting. I have high hopes for it later this year though as I really like their Bayou Morning.

I loved the little sample chunk of the night train I got.. It was strong yet tasty and enjoyable.

It's good stuff. I just got a tin of it a couple of weeks ago. I'll be ordering more.

I wanted to like it . It wasnt real bad but it wasnt a great blend . It wasnt very " refined " either in taste or its production , imo . The first bowl , I had enjoyed better than the rest . It went downhill for me , like many C&D blends
