Picked up this Nording recently and I can't find any info on it. It's never been smoked. The paper insert says it's a smoking size copy of the giant Guinness record pipe. Any of you guys have any information on this pipe?
    Thanks!

It's worth about $15, but I could use one like it as a paper weight. I will give you TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS American for it, no questions asked.

Great looking pipe. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Well, if anyone is still looking back at this thread, let me tell you I have a problem with pipes like this. It's kinda collectable. Do I smoke it or not? I got it on eBay, and I'm always looking out for deals on pipes that the pictures are fuzzy and the person doesn't normally deal in pipes and doesn't know what it is so it's not advertised correctly, and that was this case. I paid like eighty bucks for it. Maybe properly advertised it would fetch enough money that I could get a couple of standardly available Nordings that I wouldn't care about smoking. I dunno.....I'm in a quandry. I do like smoking my other Nordings though....I've been on kind of a Nording kick for a couple of years, and this one is a cool shape.

Tough call The only reason NOT to smoke it is to keep is monetary value up. If you plan on selling it, let it sit. If you're going to keep it, by all means smoke it, maybe save it for special occasions.

Did you notice that I found why it is called the Guiness Record pipe? Posted a video?

Sounds like you're going to regret smoking it unless you can first find out what it's really worth. Why not list it on eBay with the price you have in mind (as you say, it might bring in enough to buy 2 pipes you'd actually smoke). Then if no one bites, you can at least tell yourself you tried!

Yes, Jive, I did watch the video you posted. Thank you for that. It was interesting to see the man himself talking about his giant pipe. I didn't know that one of the normal size bowls on top was what smoked. Seems like you'd have to draw and draw and draw to pull the smoke all the way up that long shank!
