Seeing page 1000 caused me to do a bit of reminiscing. My first entry was on page 156, lots of fun - Rugs, Ogie, Noflex, Bobby, Dub, Deckard, and many others have come and gone, I hope they're all doing well.

Looked back at my first post (page 131) in this thread and I was smoking Maltese Falcon in a Big Ben 648. I still have the pipe and I still enjoy MF.....:)

My apologies, a Peder Jeppesen Grade 5, I believe bent billiard. He is the maker of Neerup pipes as well. And the choice of toby is flake. I also have the Original Navy Cut flake (blue tin), but chose to peruse the 'lighter' blend first.

Velvet in a cob. I think I may make this a Pinkerton-product-in-a-cob day.

Very nice looking burner! I also have a tin
of the Original, but am saving it for a rainy day.

A little stressed out, but I just got my new pipes and tobacco from UPS!

So, since I'm a little high strung, I thought a break-in smoke of something strong would be just what the doctor ordered.

Right now I'm on the back porch smoking some Old Joe Krantz in the Savinelli Trevi billiard. Big bowl of the stuff. Even through it's the first smoke in this pipe, I just went ahead and filled her up. It will do me good!

    10 minute update: ahhhhhhhhhhh :D

I've thought about getting one of those Rinds. They're real lookers, and not as expensive as some other Radices. How does yours perform?
