Squadron Leader in my diplomat, a beautiful start to the day.
Blue Mountain in a GBD pot
First smoke of University Flake from the new tin, in my Peterson System. Double serving of Turkish coffee on the side, unspiced.
Not at all sure if I like the change to the format of UF, but hey it still tastes great. I feel like I'm getting less tobacco per tin, though, even though I'm sure I'm not.
Still, I loved the old, dense, neatly displayed stick-of-gum flakes
MacB Dark Twist in my MM diplomat. Pretty tasty!
To me, it's the benchmark Balkan. Just stunning stuff. Moo sent me some a couple years back, and I've ordered a bit since, too expensive for me to smoke everyday, but I could.
Butera's RV Lat. No. 2 in a Dunhill Cumberland, this one to be exact:
Escudo in the Family Era Barling, sweet tea and mild weather on the side.
W.O. Larsen 1864 in a Jirsa Blowfish. Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout helping start the countdown!
Doing steaks on the Bar-b at midnight.
Squadron Leader in a re-engineered "Greenwich" 1/8 bent dublin. Nothing on the side.
Enjoying an afternoon tea with a bowl of McC #5100 in my new Invicta billiard.
McC Blackwoods Flake/Wenhall Sabatini -this is fast becoming my fav flake
Pulled out a sampler bottle of Jack Daniel's Single Barrel to accompany that same bowl of SL. I am one very happy man right now.
Dark Birdseye in the freshly reamed Stanwell billiard. That's better! Ahhhh
I am enjoying FVF in my Davorin Morta Billiard with a side of expresso. Waiting to take the Bride out.
Happy New Year in advance & Happy Smoking!
Just finished a bowl of McC Sovereign in a Squatch pot.
SL in a Bjarne freehand. Followed by
Gordon Pym in a Medico dublin. Followed by
G&H Brown Irish X in a Medico Medalist.
Think I'll pop open a newly acquired tin of
Astley's no. 55 Elizabethan after my head stops
spinning from the rope.
Astley's no. 55 in a Falcon. Just an
easy, lighter VA blend that's non-
descript. Almost too light for me.
I can't see reaching for this much
when I have tins of GAF and OGS
nearby. I'll give it a few more bowls
before shelving it in the cellar.
McC X-Mas 2011 Cheer in my MM Egg
1776 Old Dominion in my Irwin S Cob
Peterson's Irish Flake in a Dr Grabow Freehand.
Happy New Year!
