Just finished OGS in a Tim West.
PA in my Sav Miele 128 ( 1/4 bowl - stil breaking it in) followed by some PA in my David Jones Prince
Pete's Irish Flake in a Legend. My first bowl from my first tin. Starting with half a flake, just in case it is too strong for wimpy me. Love the taste so far. Have a clear run to the wash room, just in case.
I'm getting into the New Year's spirit by puffing a bowl of Fribourg & Treyer Vintage. I've been saving this for a special occasion, so I figured this was a good time to break it out (BTW, thanks, Andy!!) Of course, I must smoke it in the 2011 PSF Pipe Of The Year. This is amazingly rich for a relatively light Virginia flake. Well worth the wait, though I bet it only gets better with age.
This has been one of my best years of pipe smoking, and I have all of you to thank for that! I wish you fine guys and gals the best in 2012. Cheers!
Decided to pop a tin of Renaissance from 2001 to celebrate new years eve and beyond.
Hope everyone has a great new years eve and a great new year!
Dark Twist in a Sav Bing's Favorite.. Christmas present, really nice smoker right out of the box.
Kendal Kentucky in an IMP meer. This stuff is rapidly becoming my go-to weed.
Walnut in a cob.
Balkan Sasieni (thanks Ming) in a Willard (thanks Ming)
I agree with Herb, 2011 was kinda weak in some regards, but it was a helluva year for pipe smoking! Thanks, PSF!
It's a new year and all, but hey, I still love tobacco! Lighting up some 1792 Flake in the Luciano ball to celebrate! Happy New Year everyone!
30 minute update: should have given it a little drying time, but I wanted the full straight-from-the-tin flavor. Needed a pipe cleaner soon after finally getting it going.
Ah, here's the nicotine people "warn" me about! This actually IS pretty sturdy stuff, I like it!
Still 2011 here in Arizona. Some C and D English Chocolate in a cob.
Happy 2012! My usual AM Kendal Kentucky in a cob.
I'm greeting the new year, early in the AM with Irish Flake in my little Pete, a perfect fold and stuff pipe I'm finding. In deed, the Irish flake requires some attention when smoking as the nic will sneak up on you. I think I'm going to love this stuff. So far, I'm liking it better than1792, which I really did not expect.
My first New Years resolution calls for me to smoke more latakia in the morning.
Old Ironsides in a Squatch bent dublin.
Kendal Plug in a Sav 320.
1792 in a Baki. 9:00 in the AM on Jan 1st, and I'm outside smoking in just a hoodie. Weird.
...guess I should put pants on...I'm making the old neighbor ladies' swoon.
GH Bright CR Flake in a Luciano rusticated apple, coffee on the side.
Good morning and Happy New Years to all. Ten Russians in a Ben Wade pot. Coffee on the side.
Good Morning All,
1792 in my Mauro Armellini Signature Bent Dublin with black coffee. It's a very warm morning here in NJ and I am enjoying it!
Well I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who could use a little nic kick after New Year's Eve.
