Early Morning Pipe in my big old Trevi billiard. Just let it dry out for about 20 minutes, then loaded her up and now I'm smoking it with some coffee. This is a great blend :beck:

It was warm in NJ, no smoking for me as I am currently in transit back to Ohio. It just started to rain on the turnpike .... -David

How does that compare to other oriental mixtures? I've been thinking about trying it

First of all, not a speck of latakia. If you've tried any of the non-lat blends in the McClellands Grand Oriental series, add an extra shot or two of oriental testosterone, and you have Oriental Silk. Very prominent oriental flavor, but smooth and not sour. This is a bulk blend, and it's one of my favorite blends. That's quite an achievement in my book.

Oh, right on, sounds like my kind of smoke! I've only had the Drama Reserve which WAS good, but didn't "wow" me at first. It started showing a lot more potential after a few smokes, but I did end up trading what I had left (almost a full tin) to help thin the herd of weaklings before winter set in ;)

    Good day all.
I'm starting this new year with G L Pease Tribute from 2001 in the Eagle meerschaum. This huge pipe has kept me smoking for about an hour, and I'm only half way through the bowl. Stash spiced Chai tea for accompaniment.
