I am very sorry for your loss. It sounds like we all lost something here. Good men are rare these days.

I'm enjoying Burley Without Bite in my Great Dane Spool. I've been smoking heavy aromatics up until now, this is fairly light, and my first taste of Burley. I think I'm hooked and gonna have to acquire more Burleys.

Stonehaven in a Servi. Pipe likes to gurgle but I'm blowing the gurgle back into the bowl where it dissipates like magic! :th1:

Last night I decided to take advantage of the final (semi) warm night in Maryland for a while and do a little maintenance on the Austin Healey. While removing the battery (located in the trunk - or "boot" as the Brits. call it), cleaning and treating the posts and terminals, topping off the water level, re-installing it and then getting properly peed off because it started to leak because I overfilled it and had to remove it again, siphon some of the water out, clean up my mess and then getting more angry at myself because now I'm working in the dark and cracked one of the battery terminals because I overtightened it... I managed to enjoy a couple of bowls of:

PA-Cherry Vanilla in a cob diplomat (one while I worked... the second because I deserved it!).

H&H Classic Burley Kake in my Mastro De Paja bulldog. I have to say this pipe really brings this blend alive for me.

DM, I'm sorry to hear of your loss, and I'm glad you and your Dad had such a good relationship. Keep that close to you as long as you can.

    DMW- my sincerest condolences, brother.

Smoking some Kendal Dark in a Boswell paperweight. Drinking a tallboy of cheap beer in a snow squall. Fun times.

The last of my Penzance sample from Kiowa in my Comoy's Oom Paul. I love the Penzance. My wife informed me that it smells like %&$%^*@ stinky &$$ pipe tobacco. Dog is peeved because I had to move her so I had room to sit I called her back up but she's still mad at me :) -David

Nice pipe, David! This one has a "C" on the stem too: my oft-neglected Il Ceppo billiard, which I have filled with some Tree Mixture. A nice after dinner smoke with coffee on the side.
