C&D Purple Cow in a Pete St. Pat 69. Owwww... the nic is STRONG with this one
Light Burley in a new Churchwarden gotta love that coating in the bowl of a cheap pipe (tar and weedkiller mixed with hair i think). Haha enjoyed it none the less
P&W 400 in a Squatch bent billiard.
PS Sweet Vanilla in a Baglan Meer.
Carter Hall in a bent Grabow - finished the bowl, not impressed will try again later.... now washing my mouth out with Lane RLP-6 in another bent Grabow (yes I like bent Grabows).
Edgeworth in a grabow omega with coffee,Ol gto nothing wrong with grabows.
Kendal Kentucky in a cob with coffee. Good morning!
I have never owned a bad one, currently have 6 bent grabows in my normal rotation ;-)
BTW, currently smoking Captain Black gold in a bent duke.
FINALLY! I get a break to post! Smoked a bowl of Autumn Evening in a Kaywoodie White Briar on the way in to work this morning. This pipe smokes way better than I thought it would, I've never heard anything good about the stinger end but I find that it's got a good draw and smokes well. It does smoke wet but it does not gurgle so, eh, I likes it!
Walnut in a cob. It's a cobbish morning.
Yeah, but this one's PURPLE!
I'm slowly coming over to the Falcon smoker side but it does have its limitations. Good smoker, different sort of maintenance, easier in some respects. Gotta be a JB Longs pipe cleaner or skinnier to get down the Falcon smoke lumen.
Today's smokes so far
ET Pembroke in a Brebbia Twin Amaranth w/CW stem addition, hot java
WO Larsen 2012 in a Paykoc mini meer calabash, mo-java
Villiger 1888 After Dinner in a PSF 2011 POTY, mo-java
ET Penzance in the Purple Falcon, coke zero
GAF in my VA dedicated Digby bulldog
Pic please! I'll write a little entry
on my opinions of meer-lined Falcon
bowls later. Glad to see you turning
to the Falcon side, Ed!
Condor in a ........... wait for it............... Falcon.
Sillem's Green in a Servi Tiger Meer.
Heh. Cardiff in a Falcon. Another excellent ET blend. (Unlike Stonehaven...)
Ed, I hope you have a 'Prince' bowl on that purple stem...
P&W #78 in a Pete St. Pat 69. A nice solid English with a touch of Perique!
It's actually not a very common or popular shape, don't recall the name but it's narrow towards the middle of the bowl and flares out at the top and bottom...sort of like the MM spool but the edges at the top and bottom are crisp and not rounded like the spool.
Small bowls for sure! Good smoke though!
If ya want a Purple Falcon, i know who has a few more, new. Reasonable price! At least for an OOP Falcon "Rainbow" (yellow, blue, green, purple, ?other colors?).
Sounds like the (now no longer being made) Snifter bowl. It's one of the ones that I have for my black stemmed Falcon.
Baboon's Breath in a Boswell Poker following a huge breakfast. Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh..........................
GH No.7 in a Caminetto Cherrywood. Always a good combo...
