Afternoon all - its "Am I a man or a mouse?" time at Chez Morse. After having been kicked in the giblets by my sample of PSF Kickin Chicken I wondered whether I should keep JackKnife Plug on my TAD list or replace it with something a bit more docile. Kiowapipe was kind enough to supply a sample of JKP (Thanks KP) and that is what I am smoking at the moment in a Boswell Freehand.

The verdict....................................... sadly..........mouse. While it is possible that my tastes will move in the direction of stronger tobaccos at some point, at present this is a bit more than I like. I do drink my milk neat though..................in a dirty glass......:chug:

Just cracked open a brand new tin of Eileen's Dream. It's been a while since I have smoked this, and it is just as good as I remembered! Paired with a Short's Brewing Co Good Samaritan.

I like it. I was trying to make something like Epiphany, but which does not bite me and stays lit. (Other people do not seem to have those issues with Epiphany, so maybe it's just me.) It's not exactly the same, but nice.

Some days, you just gotta have perique! So I put some P&W 78 in a Tsuge Triangle, Bachman Turner Overdrive in my ears, and let it ride!

Having a wonderfully relaxing smoke on a Sunday evening thanks to a couple of PSF friends. Thanks to Nesta, I'm having my first go at Grousemoor Plug (my first plug of any kind, actually). Preparation of this fine tobacco is a bit of a mystery to me, so after breaking off a smallish chunk, I simply went at it with some sharp scissors, cutting it into manageable bits for packing and burning. It seems very moist, and is somewhat resistant to being rubbed out further. I may have to set some out to dry a bit before my next smoke, though I am comfortable smoking it damp, in the British manner, as I've done this with several of Gawith's flakes. They're still quite pleasant this way once I get them burning steadily. As it is quite a treat for me (and to help with any moisture issues) I'm smoking it in my Calabash. The gourd also seems appropriate to smoke while I enjoy a gift from another friend, the inimitable Whalehead King, who graciously sent me several of his short stories to read.

Thank you both for this brief departure from the banal.
