Germain's Brown Flake in a new (to me) Savinelli Punto Oro ($20 shipped). It was advertised as having cracks in the bowl, but I decided to take a chance on it. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the "cracks" were few in number and appear to be more likely shallow gouges, the work of an inexperienced and overzealous reaming, than defect in the briar. Oh, and it smokes wonderfully...might be my best smoker yet. B)

Earlier was Boswell's Magnum in a CAO Billiard. Now it's Orlik Golden Sliced in a Tinsky Poker.

Butternut burley in a cob with a whiskey sour. Probably doesn't go together, but it sure is good after a hot day with record breaking highs.

Cherry Blend in a Grabow Grand Duke (rusticated billiard), Dr Pepper on the side.

Indebted to Marc (I believe) on two counts: advocating the Cherry Blend, and convincing me that filters ain't so bad.

    Morning Everyone,

A bit of chill in the air in Central Florida, but it feels nice. I am enjoying a morning bowl of Sunjammer (only gotten better with age) and a side of Earl Grey.

SG FVF in my new estate Sav Punto Oro. I used a good amount of Brebbia polish to clean up the stem, but there's still a couple small spots of brown oxidation that just won't come off. Any ideas?

Tordenskjold Virginia Slices in a WDC billiard. Easier to smoke than it is to spell. Sweet smell and taste - medium everything. Nice.
