OGS in a W.O Larsen Billiard. Pepsi-max on the side.
Evening (well, for me).
Just finished some Town Topic in my Caminetto. Since this is such a big bowl,
I'll be doing only aromatics in it from now on. My dedicated aro pipe. Still
haven't decided what pipe will be the VA pipe. Sipping on some Scotch before
hitting the sheets.
Mornin'. Union Square in the Kirsten, some Twinings Lady Grey tea on the side.
As I used to live in the Bay Area, Union Square is starting to hold a VERY
favourable place in my heart. For anyone who has not tried it....SHAME!!!!!!! :sword:
Venidje Supreme in a meerschaum bent billiard - another blend I am trying to decipher... but this one is showing some real promise. This is my third bowl and each has been better than the last. Mildy spicy... mellow, yet complex...
you know theres a couple tubs of that holding up one end of the rack at my local, i never thought to try it, if you like it so much i might just pick up a tin next week.
burning the last of the old 1792 in the laxey meer pot since my package from p&c is "out for delivery" :sword:
Kitchen blend of CH/Cherry/Santee in a Yello Bole Imperial.
Hey Dub - I think it is worth the sample. As the bowl progresses, the Va starts to add a nice sweetness to the smoke. I guess in simple terms I would call it a mildly spicy Va. It did very well in the meer where the nuances could be better detected. I also believe that, because of the Va, it would age wonderfully. I'm a fan of McC's Virginia blends anyway and this is a nice change of pace from a straight Virginia.
I will probably have one more bowl this weekend and then put it aside for a bit to see how it ages.
Oh yea... I did need to dry it for a bit to keep it burning well. It doesn't seem too moist in the tin and its a ribbon, but my first smoke was a battle of re-lights. This last one went very well after 30 minutes of being spread out on the counter.
If you give it a try, let me know what you think.
Gone simple...CH in a cob.
.....Last 2 Davidoff Medallions in a Cavicchi Rustic. :sword:
The good news is my shipment of SG FVF is "Out for Delivery".......
Smoking some very aged (8 years) Frog Morton in my Savinelli. It seems sweeter now and the Latakia is even more mellow than before. Smooth, creamy smoke. Yumm!
Trying out Embarcadero in my lattice poker meer... and liking it better than when I smoked it in a briar pipe.
Escudo in a MM Country Gent for the early bowl.............
C&D Burley Flake #2 in a MM Washington (had to have another "taste" of that wonderful burley)
Now, what's up next????? Gonna grill some steaks so I better take along a "friend" (loaded cob).
gave SG's perfection another shot in my savi 305, had 3 weeks of aging in my mason jar and seemed to improve the flavor as I found it an enjoyable lighter bodied smoke
More Union Square, this time in my Peterson b-dawg. Drinking kool-aid with the kids.
Smoking in front of the kids ??!! :cops:
Wow - can't you go to jail for that or something?? :eekout:
Anniversary Kake in a SerJacopo 3x Maxima Lovat.
