    G'mornin' all!

    All aboard the VA-Va/Per train!

Peter Heinrichs Golden Sliced in a MM Pride w/vintage MM saddle bit, hot coffee.

Nice mild & mellow Va. Very smooth and great for an early morning or even an all day'r. Tinned similar to Reiner Long Golden Flake (2 long flakes, spiral'd in the can. I cutoff a 3" section and then proceeded to cubecut it across grain and gravity filled the bowl. Smoked down to light gray ash and consistently delivered a soft and mild smoke. Very well mannered smoke. Only one relight ~2/3 down........I tend to smoke where the fire is "almost out" to get the greatest flavors so I can taste what the toby is all about. Just another part of my madness.

McCl Boston 1776 in a MM Pride (stock stem), more hot coffee.

This is a very nice VA. Not much "tangyness" but definitely a good sweet VA flavor, all the way to ash. So far, the ride is smooth and enjoyable although it's rainy and breezy so I'm in the garage w/door open.

McCl Brindle Flake in a 4evah-stem'd MM Washington, diet coke lime. This is a standout IMO compared to the other two VA's. Just more of the VA flavors I look for in a VA. Richer but not too heavy. I could stay at this stop all day!

McCl Black Parrot in a 4evah-stem'd MM Country Gent, diet coke lime. This Va-Per is a flavorful smoke right from the start but most Va-Pers are IMO. A fair amount of tang and not as sweet which fades in and out. Nice smoke though.

McC Christmas Cheer 2007 in a home-made Full-Bent Billiard. This has been a tough blend for me to get consistent smokes. While it is similar in flake to the BlackWoods (which has been great for me), I seem to really have to battle to get the moisture level right and the packing correct for the CC.

This is the last of the 07, but I have 3 more tins of assorted years in the cellar (04, 05, 08)... so I'll get LOTS of practice... :velho:

McCl Pebblecut in a MM Pride w/MM saddle bit, iced h2o. This is a nice smoke, I don't believe ISve had a Va-Per that tasted quite like this. A nice change within Va-Pers.
Sort of a different sort of tang-sweet-spicey flavor from all the others I've tried.

Ok, done with the new, now how 'bout some old and reliable!?!

    2015 in a 4evah-stem'd MM Dane Egg, iced h2o.

Like coming home! Wow, I feel sort of like I was Va-Per'in myself with overload, but the 2015 took me home. Hard to beat 2015 if you're a Va-Per "head".
