"Meer-Kat" weekend coming to a close.

This morning on the way back from NASPC:

    Reiner LGF

    followed by:

    ET Dunbar

    followed by:

    C&D Opening Night

    followed by:

    STONEHAVEN! :flowers:

All with iced h2o and very nice, even though there were a bunch of arseholes I had to put up with on the drive home (like driving in the hammer lane, 55mph in a 65 zone, or blocking traffic staying beside an 18 wheeler on a two laner not letting anyone pass for miles). Just some of the crap I had to deal with going home. Lucky for me, my bowl-baccy-and fire kept my spirits up! Probably would have pulled out my S&W 629 and blew out their tires as I passed them if I hadn't had my bowl going. Don't understand these idjuts who feel they are the only entitled to the road...........

Home now and will post an after show report (sort of). I'll post it in the Pipes forum.

edit: all were smoked in an IMP 3/4 bent pinecone.......the meer (single) took it full-on and didn't wimper one bit. You really can get by with just a single pipe (a meer...........or a cob) but you must smoke non-goopy toby, dry it well, and smoke it slowly to prevent "suckers flood" because it's very hard to drive a car and a pipe cleaner simultaneously! For what it's worth, IMP really puts out a very nice meer, great quality, block, nice airway (not skinny, but not wide either), and fit and finish are top notch. 10 bowls and she's coloring nicely. Can't wait to see what she looks like at 30.

GLP Maltese Falcon(newly opened tin...glorious smell) in a Dunhill inner tube 196. Latakia heavy english blend(yummm), but you can still the taste the spiciness of orientals and the sweet, tangy virginias in the background. Burns nicely, very satisfying, I'll be stocking up on this too. BenRiach curiositas on the side.

Smoked a bowl of Dunhill Aperitif. Second impression of this stuff. Not too impressed. Three strikes and it's out for me.

Spent yesterday helping a good buddy lay laminate flooring in the kitchen of their "new" place...13 acres and a fixer-upper house that's coming along quite well.

Steve n Nena been doing most all the work out there...being as I'm an old carpenter-type guy, he keeps me around for tekinckel support...LOL Actually had a great time with "the kids".

Steve had me fill my Peterson B10 with some delightful aged tobacco...whose name escapes me (Damned Old-timers!) Other pipe for the day was the Christmas meer and Hamborger Veermaster.

Got home last night, had a bite to eat, and flopped down on the bed to watch the Broncos kick butt. Pat sends me to my room for football, which is where I want to be anyhow! A great game, enhanced by a large bowl of Barbary Coast and a Cappuccino.

Today, it's 5100/110 in the Bamboo billiard and a Dr. Pepper.....so far!
