case you run out of GAF/PDF :groucho:

    GAF/PDF in a natural companion,
    Dunhill Chestnut. Just a splendid
smoke! Easily in the top three of
    favourite Flakes of all time!

Top three? Wow, you must of got the 'bonus dingleberry' in your open tin. Naw, it's good stuff, I know.

Carter Hall in a MM Legend. It's so damned cold and windy out, I can't imagine suffering through a whole bowl. (I may be smoking indoors at this rate. A leisurely bowl sounds good for a change.) Coffee, duh.

5100, in my Stanwell. It was a bit dull for about the third time so I'm giving it the salt treatment for the first time.

    Lordy, lordy...

GAF in a Pete bulldog...coffee, coffee, coffee. Probably should Febreze the bedspread, but I believe the Dunhill will scent it nicely!

C&D purple cow in Peterson Killarney XL2. First try straight from the tin it burnt easy and was very rich in flavour. It was good, but I am not sure when I will feel like smoking it again.

I spent 90 minutes doing my best to pick out flavours but cannot describe the taste as anything but cigarish, not that I ever smoked a cigar. I tried really hard to go deeper into what it tasted like but only got associations like cardboard and chili. It burned in my mouth and my sinuses at first, not due to temperature, but rather like really hot chili peppers. I got quite a nicotine buzz too, prolly helped by rhum and coca cola.

I feel a little cocky because I am beginning to think I am getting the hang of smoking a pipe, getting more flavour than before. Maybe I am better at choosing tobacco now but I am beginning to get the feel for how much little I must draw. It may sound weird but I get my best results from drawing almost continuisly but very, very slow - sometimes with my mouth slightly open, mixing the smoke with fresh air.

Sorry for another long post in this thread.
