Last night, I jarred up some (generous) samples an even more generous person gave me (thanks Puff). Took twelve 4 oz. Mason (jelly) jars... several EXCELLENT tobys. While I was jarring, I enjoyed a bowl of a mixture of OGS and MacBarren Vanilla Flake. Not mixed, but layered. OGS on bottom with the Vanilla on top. Started sweet (vanilla, obviously) and finished smooth and sweet (like summer grass). Smoked it in my custom Bear's Den sitter with a bamboo shank.

One of the best tasting pipes I've had in a while. It just burned smooth all the way down.

Tonight, I just finished a bowl of Stonehaven. I had started, but not finished this pipe a few nights ago. I poked it around a bit, bumped out the fine ash, and topped it off (to about 3/4 of the bowl) with "fresh" Stonehaven.

I'm breaking in a "Natural" briar pipe that was recently gifted to me that, so far, has seen nothing but a good soaking of a single barrel bourbon (as a prep) and three bowls of Stonehaven. She's smokin' wonderful!!

You mean you ain't got no travel pipe? In your case, I would imagine some carved to the hilt meerschaum churchwarden...;)

Now smoking PS LTF in a Hackert Freehand. Day number two (I think) without smoking a Falcon. Piece of cake!

You poor soul, though...lose that Falcon, and half your pipe collection needs to be rebuilt! :)

Smoking Five Bros. in a MM Legend. All foolin' aside, I think my Falcons have rested long enough. Tomm. is a new day.

Used to love this stuff. Now, it's so-s0.
With it very inaccessible, I won't mind
not having any more. C'est la vie.

Last smoke of the day, third taste of the McClelland 2045 Oriental Mixture.

Still very impressed. Though less convinced of flavouring - maybe its just a lack of exposure to high-oriental content tobaccos? I don't know enough about them and their flavors to be certain one way or another, but either way I'm adoring this tobacco. Though for a nightcap it could use a touch more strength.
