LTF in my new to me Sir Calabash pot ... very nice
Tinder Box Reserve 1928 in my avatar pipe. Hot, humid night here in GA, but this smoked cool on my front porch. Picked up a lot of bourbon flavor from it, which was great with the strong black coffee I was sipping.
Smoking McClelland 2035 Dark Navy Flake in my Ben Wade billiard. Promising combination, but I think I'd rather cut it in cubes than try to rub it out. This flake does not like to be rubbed out, and it's too thick and too broken to fold and stuff. It's a finicky flake, I think, but delicious. I want to get more of it so I can better learn how to get it to work the way I want.
PS LBF in a pot. I'd love a beer right about now but I'm headed to the beach in a few hours.
Nightcap and G&H Balkan Mix 50/50 in the Tugboat. Listening to Reckoner by Radiohead.
IF in my Pete System 314. A Steel Reserve 211 40 oz. on the side. Stupid heat wave...this is my only memorable smoke of the day. No doubt the beer will insure I forget it, though. I'm hearing tomm. will be hotter, still...ugh!
Bayou Morning in a Charatan Bulldog.
Telegraph Hill in a Tinsky.
Orlik Golden Mixture in the Askwith.
A little Laphroaig to top things off.
Starting off the day with PS Sweet Vanilla in a basket pipe with a mug of hot black coffee. Not as hot out this morning as yesterday. Yet.
After rushin to get ready being the driver I can't be late, I'm now stood outside an hour early so I've loaded up my H.Love pipe with the last pinch of Peach brandy tobacco and enjoying the cool evening sun
Samuel Gawith 1792 in a Savinelli straight billiard
Stonehaven rubbed out fairly fine in a Country Gent w/Foreverstem. I could smoke this every day if I had a half ton put away in the basement.
Escudo in a cob. Worst of the heat is over here in Iowa, but it's still pretty warm. Had some nice rains yesterday. It's on the way, fellas, hang in there.
PSEO in My CAO Meer.
This is my first taste of McClelland Mature Virginia No. 27. Rubbed out (shag cut cake? wow....I guess that's right...) and filling my Ben Wade billiard.
Nothing fancy so far as I can tell, but sweet, mellow and pleasant, and not nearly the bite I half expect for a finely cut VA.
Should be great for quick(er) smokes when I want something other than PA.
Firedance in a Kaywoodie #4 billiard ... life is good
PS Luxury Twist Flake in Krona, sitting on back porch sipping strong black coffee with the dogs running around in the yard. Heatwave in GA interrupted by storm clouds this evening, and the bowl was just about done when the first drops started falling. Prolly missed out on another 5 minutes of quality smoke, but c'est la vie.
Just lit up my first bowl of Christmas Cheer 2010 (lot of first bowls lately for me!) and I'm already in heaven! Any of you who've had the CC before know how it comes, so it doesn't work well to fold and stuff. Just let it breathe for about half an hour, rubbed it out and packed a cob, let that sit for about half an hour, then struck the match.
first of the morning-- McC oriental 14 in a Grabow
last pipe of the day--homebrew ARO in a Barling
