I'm not normally a morning smoker, but last night I came home and laid down for a little snooze... and woke up at 12:30 a.m. Anyway, I've been really jonesing for some GAF, so I thought I'd have a pipe with my morning coffee. I could get used to this.

In my Gent, by the way.

This morning...Christmas Cheer in the Ben Wade billiard. This stuff was so good last night I practically don't want to smoke anything else. Rubbed out easier this morning, but took a light more stubbornly. Last nights stuff got significantly more drying time though. Now that it's going well, it's quite pleasant indeed :puffy:

Wait, so is it just a straight burley? I was under the impression it was an aro. Golden Extra, right?

Aro ... no . Hell , I didnt send you any of it ? It's straight burley ... maybe a super light top note but by no means an aro . I've been enjoying this as my go to for over a decade and , imo , is the finest burley I've had [ Wessex slice is killer stuff too ] and it's cheap in bulk . I'll throw some in w/ the twist .... havent made it to post office yet and maybe wont till monday morn [ getting ready for kids birthday party .. ugh ] . If I were rich I'd send everyone a tin :)

Right on! Still trying to find out if you've ever had PS Cube Cut. I got a few samples of different things which you may or may not have had. Also haven't made it to the post office yet though lol :puffy:

Second bowl before work, McClelland No. 27 in my MM Legend. Good stuff. No Christmas Cheer, but good.

Have my Great Dane loaded up with CC for when I get home from work. Some broken flake stuffed in the bottom with rubbed out bits on top for kindling. It will have plenty of time to further air out before I smoke it...I'm expecting a thoroughly amazing smoke. Can't wait.

Can't get enough of these VAs! So far I don't think I've had straight VA until yesterday, with the exception of the CC I got a few years ago and couldn't manage to properly smoke. Everything else I've tried has had at least a little perique or burley or something in it. Its love at first puff!

After being away at camp all week, (in fact I've only been home an hour!) my pipes are really in need of a clean so I picked up a cigar from asda when getting milk and I've just lit it now

Another bowl of GAF in the Gent. So far, I'm liking GAF more in a cob than a briar, and the Gent is just the perfect size for a flake. I'm learning to master the fold-n-stuff method, while I'm at it. Nice, easy, tasty smoke. What could be better?
