Woke up to a cool Michigan morning. Just for grins and giggles, I lit a small fire in the woodstove. I love this view of the fire sitting in my chair, with a pipe and beverage. Brewed a cup of Lapsang Souchong tea, now to find a pipe to accompany.

Just brewed a mug of tea and fired up a nice big bowl of McClelland Oriental No. 14 in the Johs bulldog. It's good to be me, at least this morning!

Orlik is always a good choice! I'm thinking of putting a bit in my Ben Wade billiard after lunchtime, maybe go for a walk in the park.

Did a bit of yard work this morning, now relaxing with a Sam Adam's Irish Red and some Marlin Flake from 08/02, in a Nording Apple.

Got a tin of Sobranie at an estate sale. It was dry as dust, and I restored it by putting it in a glass bowl and covering it with a moistened tea-towel for a few days. I don't know anything about it, but it's really nice. I love the smokey aroma.

Just got my package from sterling tobacco in the mail. Trying out the bargain tobacco that came with it. It's not bad. Some flavors I'm not used to but that's not surprising.

I just came inside from a nice smoke. Some Orlik Golden Sliced wadded into a ball (it was pretty dry from being in a carrying pouch for almost a week...have another smoke or two still in the pouch, so I'm smoking that before I go back to any other VA at the moment, though I really wanted some McClelland 27 or 2010 Christmas Cheer) and popped into the top of my Ben Wade billiard. Apart from being slightly too dry, it was a pretty darn well behaved smoke.

I can't begin to explain how much I'm anticipating the slice of Best Brown Flake #2 after dinner. I had to get it nicely charred on top just to get that initial taste, it was so tempting :puffy:
