Peach Pie in Boswell Big Daddy
Haddo's Delight in a Cassano Perla poker.
Izz cold-ish out, so something something Latakia in a Kaywoodie apple.
First bowl of LTF in a Savinelli Dublin. Fantastic! This stuff is fantastic! May have found a good bulk substitute for my OGS addiction.
Pembroke in a GBD Canadian
Smoking a bowl of PS Sweet Vanilla. Another sample I got from WV. Not bad...I don't know if its as good as MacB. I definitely will smoke the whole ounce before I make a true decision on which one to cellar.
Indeed, this cooler weather is bringing back my taste for Latakia. With all the discussion about Ten Russians recently, I almost filled a bowl with it, but I grabbed some Capt. Earle's Stimulus Package instead. Still trying to work out the differences between these two. Smoking it in my DWaugh Claydog.
I'm excited about Fall now. I've got a handful of untried Latakia blends to dig into!
Gatlin Cumberland in my James Upshall lovat....
Best Brown #2 in a Calabresi bent pot, ice water on the side.
Capstan Gold in the workhorse Falcon
SG St James Flake in a MM Legend.
But all I can taste is Bosun Cut Plug as that was the previous smoke. I don't even really like the stuff. Don't know why I do it to myself...
Well Herb, other than useless words like "rounder", "lighter", or "spicier" I couldn't give you a word to describe the difference. They're both damn good.
It's lovely here in the the North Country this morning - 46F and a bright starry sky. I had a bowl of Penzance in an oil cured Squatch while sitting outside listening to the crickets.
1st Bowl since my wife went in the Hospital?
McB Navy in my Diplomat. Taste like honey, to me!
Samarra in a rusticated bent Apple.
Old Gowrie in a Design Berlin bent apple, coffee along side.
Prince Albert in Hackert cob....
My staple English Blend in a lovely sandblasted Orlik Dugout.
Finally trying the sample of Rattray's Bagpiper's Dream that Pottsy sent me in my Pioneer block meer poker.
I like it so far.
Matured Virginia #27 in the prince I usually reserve for Escudo. Just cracked a tin from '06. Seems like good stuff. My nose hairs are still slowly uncurling from the initial vinegar blast from the tin. So far the smoke seems to be all treble, but with the mid-range slowly building. Left my Czech tool laying around somewhere, so I'm trying to tamp with a capo.
