SL in a Falcon. Who turned off the heat outside?!
Oh my! For you piperz who like GH Rum Flake AND Bobs Choc must try it as a duo! Or Dbl Header! I'm dgt'n the Rum Flake in the Wiley Galleon an then fired up some Bobs in a large bowled stickerless cob (H&B? , 50's-60's?) and the RF lead gloriously into Bobs! Wow what a smoke!
It's been unseasonably warm here, but change is in the offing. S'posed to have a high in the low 40s by tomorrow with lots of wind...maybe a bit of moisture tossed in. Getting closer to winter every day.
Pat's off to Koshkonong to pick up our beef...should have 400+ lbs for the freezer. Still plenty of pork left. Cupboards are well stocked with canned goods and dried goods, so were in good shape here.
Ended yesterday with some Erinmore Flake in the S.M.S. bent billiard meer and a large mug of Stash Chai tea....nice! Started this day with more Erinmore Flake, this time in one of my Carey free-hands. Been a while since I paid any attention to these.
Another bowl of GH Bobs Choc in the same cob! What a nice smoke!
Kendal Flake and GAF 50/50 in a cob.
Wattson's Famous Special Mixture in a Peterson 314
Compare bowls of Villiger 1888 Late Night in a 60s MM Wash oem bent stem, and After Dinner in a MM IRC 60s Natural.
The AD was quite tangy and we'll have to see how this is in a bit for another look!
The LN was very good and the favored of these two. Smokin it now and really diggin in!
Both burn quite well out of the can. Bargain priced tinned leaf but not worth cellaring. Puffs 2 puffs
Three parts Prince Albert, one part Stokkebye longcut Virginia, one part RLP-6.
Having a bowl of Presbyterian Mixture in my Ben Wade Canadian with some PG Tips (milk and honey) on the side. Nice way to unwind after work
Alright, well, one pipe down, but not ready to give up, considering how nice the weather is. Prince Albert in the GBD billiard/Canadian
Is there any Lakeland goodness in this blend you speak of?
Escudo in a rusticated bent Cherrywood.
G&H Balkan Mixture in a Ferndown Poker.
Balkan Luxury Mixture 957 in an ebony system 302
My 1st taste of Sutliffe Great Outdoors from my free sample. Not bad, not great. Maybe 2.5 stars out of 4 (so far)
Bobs Choc has a very faint essence that I like! Liked it from first light.
Burnin up some Penzance in a GBD Prince. Now that the Penzance is done, it's another bowl of Bobs Choc in the same cob!
Blackwoods Flake in a bent country gent
Skiff mixture in a Sav 920KS. Nice after dinner smoke, Glenngoyne 10 year on the side.
Two months ago when I opened the tin I did not like the flavor, and it smelled like poo. What a difference two months made, it's great now. Even better, because I'm a sailor.
Chalk up another Sam Gawith blend I've tried: Firedance Flake in a MM Washington. Not bad, but I'm not finding the magic in this one just yet.
I have never got the poo smell from Skiff and I have a ton of it. Everyones sniffer is different I suppose.
Glenngoyne--nice drink there. I was gifted a cask version years back.....
Crooner in a Comoy Lumberman
Another Kendal Flake mix. First smoke in a newly acquired estate Royal Danish. An odd looking little pipe that I only bid on because I thought it was a Stanwell (it's a Stannie second). Visual inspection upon receipt however was a happy surprise, engineering looked perfect. Presently smoking up to expectations It's hit or miss when you're an eBay bottom-feeder like me, but this one seems to be a hit.
