    Hey, guys,
I joined a month ago and said that I returned after five years of non smoking... health related.
Anyways, I pulled out all my old stuff. I found a few unopened tins. Found eight mason jars and the tobacco inside seems to be fine.
Here is my question. I found 6 tins that are about full. I won't list them all. i.e. Westminster, SL... Is there a way to redeem them or should they just be tossed?

An aside... I have probably tossed out about two pounds of tobacco. My trash can is full of bad stuff. Someone on another group years ago highly recommended storing tobacco in plastic locking containers. I did. Big mistake. All of that stuff is now in the trash. Lesson learned.

    Sorry for the long post,
    Owen

See the question "what do I do about a tobacco that is too dry"

This paper towel over a bowl do tobacco method is the one I have seen recommended most

As long as there is no mold, once you rehydrate them they should be fine.

Thanks for the input guys. Greg's suggestions are great and I will give them a try. At least I don't lose a lot by trying! I have a fee tins that haven't been opened in 5 years and I am fighting off the temptation to open them. Hard, very hard..... One is 2006 Xmas cheer. It moans "open me" whenever I see it.
I'll let you know how my other projects go
    Thanks,
    Owen
