As many of you know, I've been smoking the pipe for many years and have enjoyed many different tobacco blends. I'm sure I smoked a tin of this tobacco back "in the good old days" but I don't recall for sure. But was browsing for a new blend, and was reminded that somebody on PSF really loved this stuff - just couldn't remember who. A quick search revealed that it was our man Arkie. I figured I couldn't go wrong. And if I did, I could blame Arkie! :ohyh:

I'm surprised I didn't try this sooner. I'm a big fan of a little-loved Rattray blend named Highland Targe, and believe it is one of the unsung heroes of the Rattray line. Complex and light tasting, but well worth the effort if one is patient.

The good news about RM's Oriental is that it has the same flavor profile as the Highland Targe, but more of it. It's not a strong blend but it has excellent rich flavor. I'm excited about getting to know it better.

Thanks for the rec, Arkie. Yuz know yer stuff!

Yes, sorry... thought I had put in that particularly salient fact.

The one thing my writing has in common with that of Shakespeare, Maugham and Poe is that I need a proofreader. And an editor. :xd:

Same here. And I salient all over my pipe stem when I smoke this mixture. In veritable gobs.

Since dwaugh is edumacaded, I should ask him... Is the Latin for this In Veritus Gobulatus?

No, the latin would be "inna godda da vida".

You are welcome sir. Actually, I feel like a novice compared to some others here on PSF who have tried hundreds of blends.
