I had a lovely package waiting for me yesterday. My new Vauen from smokingpipes.com was sitting on the kitchen table. Only difference between mine and the one linked is the base. I have a bit more swirly pattern going on.

Haven't had a chance to smoke her yet, but she sure does look pretty.

Now that is slick indeed. Never seen its equal either. He's made some nice pipes too. I need to pay closer attention to this brand. Hope it serves you well for many years to come.

Very cool! I've looked at those recently, but haven't had the guts to buy one. Let us know how it smokes!

I've been tempted to pull the trigger on a Vauen poker for the last couple weeks.

I'm just not quite sold on the idea of the acrylic covering of the bottom of the bowl. Not sure why.

Looks great...hope it smokes OK. Not sure about having acrylic for the bottom (or that NEAR the bottom) of the bowl though.....

Let us know once you get it.

half way through a bowl of kingfisher. So far it (the pipe) is awesome. A slight gurgle and a bit of a tight pack on my end but it's smooth and very cool. I might like it more than my Savinelli. Easy on the jaw to clench as well. Definitely bringing out some of the nuances of the tobacco.

Based on the maiden voyage I would definitely recommend one.

    Hi All,

Normally my tastes run to the more conservative classics - but I seriously love the looks of that one.

If I were still collecting that'd be on my list - many happy years with it!

    Best to all

I really like that slight bent, Zulu-ish, shape. And have to agree wholeheartedly with StronIrish that it looks like something out of the Jetsons. I've always liked the way some makers blend classic with modern (think what people from the 1950s thought the 2000s would look like). This fits that bill.

Very well done, and hope you get many years enjoyment from it!
