I have a Peterson 302 with the markings "S.L.E." on it, I can't find any info about this, does anyone know what it means?

I've got two 302s and neither have those letters. Perhaps they're a previous owners initials?

I would say initials. I think you could have that done through the Grafton St. shop at one point, maybe even still?

Well I got the correct answer on another pipe forum today and thought I would pass the knowledge on, it stands for "Special Limited Edition" which is even larger than the XL302 and comes with a deluxe stem..[IMG]
