This is my daily smoker. It's a Peterson St. Patrick's Day 2006 model.

The pipe smoker in me, and the Irish in me, say that that is a beautiful pipe! Love the grain, love the shamrock... can't beat a Pete!

At the moment, it's my favorite smoking pipe. I grab it most often when I am heading out the door.

That's awesome. I love it for all of Vaquero's reasons except I have no Irish in me. 3/17 is my b-day tho, does that count for anything?

Btw, at what time of the year do these Patrick's day pipes come out? Think I'm gonna put this year's edition on my bday wishlist from the wife or the drinking buddies if it looks half as cool as your's

I'm not sure, but I would assume close to St. Patrick's Day. I noticed that it also had a model number, so I think they pick a style each year and just add the SPD info on the silver band. That's just a hunch though on my part.

Yes, I really like the look of that 999 model and the 80s as well. I've had my eye on both for awhile, but unfortunately have not seen one in real life to get a feel for it. My local B&M is apparently having a Peterson 'trunk show' where they're promising to have tons of their pipes and then I will probably snag one or the other. Thanks for the tip

Great pipe! I'm still waiting for Peterson to release the St. Patrick's B30 from 2010. They didn't do one for 2011 but hopefully we'll see it back in 2012.
From what I remember they come out around mid-February. If you check smokingpipes.com in March I'm sure they would have them stocked by then.

When doing a google search for them, you can find a few of them from past years marked down for clearance.

Spaceboy Tim is right, they come out in February. I picked up my 2010 St. Pat 69 at Iwan Ries in early Feb. 2010.

So, I've been saying I'm going to save up my pipe money for the St. Patrick's Day release; how much do those pipes generally run, price wise? I would assume somewhere in the $150-200 range, but I don't really know. The guy at the B&M in town showed me the poster for the ones that are coming out this year, and if the poster is an indication of what shapes they're releasing, it's going to be a good release. Unfortunately, I can't say anything beyond that, because my memory isn't good enough for specifics, I just remember that there were some nice shapes, maybe one full bent.

Beautiful pipe, by the way! I love Petersons, and yet I still don't have one myself, so I've gotta get on that.
