peterson rosslare classic 606 (Done)
Best. Thread. Ever.
Peterson bent House pipe smooth finish Oak.. Christmas is coming..
Lol. I just realized this is in the wish list subheading. I thought this was just a random thread in the Pipes section, and it seemed like such an odd thread that I just had to say something snarky. Now I look dumb. Guess that's what I get for being a jackass.
While we're at it, there is one type of Peterson that I wouldn't mind adding to my stable, despite not really being much of a Peterson guy. I love the Sherlock Holmes Deerstalker:
I also like some of the army mount pre-Republic pipes. Really the only quibble I have with Peterson is the System. I would love to own another Peterson, just not one with the System design.
you dont look dumb.. you look like a musical instrument..
Lovely finish and a very classy shape! I hope it treats you well!
It helps when you read.
Thank you sire!
I type with my tuner pegs.
I did add something to my post though, so that I wouldn't be just a complete pain in the ass. There is a Pete or two that I wouldn't mind owning.
606 is my first Peterson and the fist non System design. I will be firing it soon and cross over to a uncharted territory.
The Special series, the Donegal Rocky series, the rusticated tankards...
I want it all x3
And I want it now.
I wouldn't mind adding a tankard, an 80s, and a Rosslare apple. Peterson definitely has some great shapes.
Peterson is great. I wish I had a Rosslare. Congratulations on adding this pipe to your collection, Saro.
Mount Mandolin: DOOOO EEEEEEEET.
The deerstalker is the only one of the Sherlock Holmes line up that I own - and I'm reall happy about it. One of my best smokers, feels great in the hand and is also a nice clencher. You won't regret adding this pipe to your collection, trust me and do it.
I'd like to replace a Peterson Meerschaum Sherlock Holmes Squire that I broke. That was a truly fine smoker. I doubt that I will though, since any that I've seen available have been priced stratospherically.
I am trying to find a Peterson Tawny Deluxe I brought back from Ireland back in 1988. I gave it to my uncle and his wife lost it after he passed and I never saw it again. It's a yellow, meerschaum bent.
Gorgeous pipe! But he love it so much the enjoyment I got out of seeing him smoke it was well worth the loss.
Just Do it!
You only live once
Thanks you! I'll look into it... But right after this one.
Yeah, also very nice! Looks like ebony...is it, or is it lacquered briar? I love my Peterson Pipe of the year 2012 ebony.
The finish on my Dracula 03 has been holding up very well even though it's had some time rattling around with loose change in the car centre console.
If I'm not mistaking its ebony finish.
